About Me

Hello! My name is Victoria Bowler and I am 19 years old. I am from a small town in Massachusetts called Sturbridge where I have lived my whole life. Originally, however, my parents and all of my extended family are from England. This led to a life full of English traditions and American explorations.

I am currently a freshman at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. I am majoring in Public Health on a Physician Assistant track. I decided to go into healthcare because of my brothers. Both of my brothers have autism so majoring in Public Health was one way I could learn how to advocate for those with Special Needs and explore research opportunities on how to make their lives even more meaningful.

All throughout my life, I have been involved in sports. In high school, I played soccer and basketball. However, when I got to college, I knew I wanted to play something different. I decided to join the Women’s Varsity Rugby team. Although I had never played before, the team was excited to teach me how. The practices have been quite the learning experience and my teammates have been very encouraging and supportive. It is a great atmosphere to be surrounded by!

Over this semester, I will be posting blogs for my English Composition course. I hope you enjoy! 🙂
